Luxembourg is located in the heart of Europe and is therefore easy to access from other European countries. However, since it is a very small country, you might have to take some detours if you’re travelling from far.
We recommend these transport pathways:
The only international airport in Luxembourg is located in the Findel area and can easily be reached by bus from the city center. The flights to and from this airport can be very expensive however so it might be better for you to travel to another airport. Additionally the vast majority of flights from this airport are European only, so be prepared to connect in other airports if you are travelling from further away.
Both Brussels airports (Charleroi and Zaventem) are located about three hours away from Luxembourg by bus or car. These airports offer a larger variety for flights, as well as companies and prices.
To get from these airports, we would suggest you to use a bus service called Flibco. The bus takes you from Brussels Charleroi airport to Luxembourg city for a fair price, where we could pick you up.
For both airports, you may also use another bus service called Flixbus.
There is also a daily train to Luxembourg from Brussels train station that takes approximatively three hours.
You might also want to consider both Frankfurt airports, Main and Hahn. These airports offer more flights, often for a better price and transport to Luxembourg through bus services such as Flibco and Flixbus as well as through trains are possible. If you’d rather have connecting flights there are several Lufthansa flights from Frankfurt Main to Luxembourg a day.
